Direct from Champions Online, comes the profile and concept of the newest supervillian, Foxbat!
Hey girlie! Yeah, you! Get away from that computer! You're not qualified to write the epic tale of the rapid yet monumental rise to power of the greatest supervillain ever.
That's me. I'm Foxbat. And I'm awesome.
The day I was born, the earth shook and the heavens cracked open. The stars realigned. Rivers changed their courses. A comet appeared. Choirs of angels proclaimed my greatness. All ice cream was free.
Mumsie and Dadders were super rich, so of course I got the absolute best of everything, which is only what I deserve. I studied at the best schools, had every action figure ever made, and gave away ponies in the gift bags at my tenth birthday party. Boy howdy - those ponies were hard to get out of those little bags!

You do me a favor and don't tell none of the cowboys what you know. They think they're real cowboys, and it wouldn't be right to hurt their feelings.
Now, I'm happy ya'll are here and all, but I've got to warn ya: This ain't the best time to be visiting Snake Gulch. And I'd best tell you good folk what happened.
Things were pretty fine here at Snake Gulch for a long time. We had lots of visitors having fun and learning to rope and ride – the saloon and the hotel on Main Street were full every night! But then … well, it's been mighty tough around these parts for the past few years.

Today we learn more about Ben Foxworthy, one of the mission programmers working on Champions Online.
Q: What do you do on Champions Online?
A: I'm the newest programmer on the Champions Online mission team. I work on a lot of the gameplay features that make up the content of Champions Online – things like missions, contacts, NPC spawning, world interaction and other fun stuff. I also work on editors that the designers use to make our missions and zone content, and I support the designers by helping them use our tech effectively.
The most interesting part of my job is that I'm right in the middle of everything. The mission systems have tendrils in just about every part of the game, so I've worked with almost all of the other programmers here, and most of the designers.
The Champions Online design team answers more community questions about zones, instances, buffing and costumes in the most recent developers blog.
Today we get the answers to community questions about zones, instances, buffing and costumes. Thanks to Arkayne, Heretic, Stampede and Absinthe for taking time to answer these!
Do characters out-level zones? Can a high-level character continue to experience content in zones throughout his or her superheroic career? (Psyche)
Arkayne (Lead Designer): Zones in Champions Online have various challenges of different levels so you will always have something to return to as you progress through your heroic career. While you might start in the Southwest Desert helping Project Greenskin deal with various mutants plaguing the area, you'll likely return later to deal with rampaging robots or escaped supervillains.
